Sure, we love saving everything from electronics to furniture… but we’re also trying to do our bit to protect the planet.

Our business is helping our customers get the most value out of their purchases by making them last longer and work better. But that’s just the beginning. Sustainability is at the core of what we do, and we’re exploring how to improve in every way, be it on a global or local level.

 

We are continuously reviewing our business practices from supply chain to Head Office to understand what we do well today, and what we could do even better tomorrow. Be it through collaborative partnerships or together with our 140 million customers, we’re doing whatever we can to make a real difference.

 

By focusing on fast, flexible repairs, we can help customers save money and extend the life of their devices. That's why we have  recently partnered with WeForest, a climate change non-profit who focus on sustainable reforestation and supporting the well-being of the communities where they work. 

 

With our joint reforestation project, each time a customer chooses to repair their device rather than opting for a replacement, we are committed to growing a tree in Mount Mulanje in Malawi.

Campus

We don’t just fix screens effectively - we do it fast. But how fast exactly? We revealed that and more when we headed to Campus, by far the biggest home-electronics show in the Nordics, as Elkjøp welcomed around 7000 staff-members, partners and suppliers to the event. At our stand, the SquareTrade field team engaged with over 3000 agents, showcasing who we are and what we do best, including on-the-spot live repairs - after the devices had been dropped on the floor by our destructive robot friend, Breakbot.

Who said insurance was no fun? We took SquareTrade on the road last year when we visited every youSee store in Denmark. Our promotional team brought exciting games, freebies and on the spot prizes to really bring our product to life. From a blindfolded jigsaw challenge to a digital spin-the-wheel, we stopped off at 41 stores across the country to offer agents the opportunity to win big - and 22 of them did, landing themselves some delicious prizes. This created fantastic in-store engagement, with agents from every single location excited to take part, no matter how busy they were.

Yes. Your receipt is required to file a claim. 

Most products come with a manufacturer's warranty that lasts 90 days to one year from the date of purchase. If there is an issue during this time that is covered by the warranty, you will be referred to the manufacturer for service. 

If your plan includes preventative maintenance (e.g., refrigerator filter, lawn mower blade, etc.), you can submit a request to be reimbursed for these expenses. Please email a photo of your receipt for the maintenance item or service and the original receipt for the covered item and plan to appliance_reimbursements@squaretrade.com. Once approved you will be reimbursed up to the amount of your plan benefit.

If your plan includes additional Furniture and Flooring Program Benefits (e.g. carpet cleaning, furniture cleaning, etc.), you can submit a request for service to nfmfurniture@squaretrade.com with your plan number and we will reach out to you within 24 hours for next steps.

During the first 30 days of your protection plan:
If you purchased your protection plan at NFM, bring the receipt for your plan back to NFM for a full refund.

After the first 30 days of your plan:
You can cancel it here.

Yes. Your receipt is required to file a claim with Allstate Protection Plans. 

No. You do not need to register your plan for it to be active. However, you will need your receipt to file a claim, so be sure to keep it in a safe place. 

Contact the retailer where you purchased your plan to request a refund. 

Most items come with a manufacturer's warranty that lasts 90 days to one year from the date of purchase. If there is an issue during that time that is covered by the manufacturer's warranty, you will be referred to the manufacturer for service. If there is an issue that is not covered by the manufacturer during the warranty period but is included in your Allstate Protection Plan, the plan will cover it.

Yes, your receipt is required to file a claim. Click here and follow the easy instructions to save your receipt. 

For major appliance protection plans:
You will need the Order Number located on your Merchandise & Service Summary.

For all other protection plans:
You will need your item receipt.  

During the first 90 days of your protection plan:
If you purchased your The Home Depot Protection Plan in-store or online within the past 90 days, bring the receipt for your plan back to any The Home Depot store or call 800-466-3337 for a full refund.  

After the first 90 days of your plan:
You can cancel it here

Major Appliances
Most major appliances come with a manufacturer’s warranty that lasts one year from the date of purchase and covers product defects, breakdowns, plus mechanical and electrical failures. If there is an issue during this time that is covered by the warranty, you will be referred to the manufacturer for service. After the manufacturer’s warranty expires, your appliance is covered by your The Home Depot Protection Plan for the remainder of its 3 or 5-year plan term (depending on plan length).

General Merchandise
Most products come with a manufacturer’s warranty that lasts 90 days to one year from the date of purchase and covers product defects, breakdowns, plus mechanical and electrical failures. If there is an issue during this time that is covered by the warranty, you will be referred to the manufacturer for service. If there is an issue that is not covered by the warranty but is included in your The Home Depot Protection Plan, the plan will cover it.

Your item is covered for 2 or 3 (depending on plan length) additional years after the manufacturer’s warranty expires.

Water Heaters
Your water heater is covered for 5 additional years after the manufacturer’s warranty expires for labor costs associated with mechanical and electrical failures plus product breakdowns during normal use.

No. Cosmetic coverage includes 50% reimbursement when you purchase select replacement cosmetic parts for your major appliance, mower, or tractor. These cosmetics parts include:

  • Knobs (ovens, ranges, etc.)
  • Shelves (refrigerators, freezers, etc.)
  • Drawers (refrigerators, freezers, etc.)
  • Grates
  • Drip pans
  • Trim kits

For blemishes to cooktops and ranges, dents are not covered, but 50% of the cost of replacement parts or paint to repair scratches is covered.

Total reimbursements for preventative maintenance parts and cosmetic parts replacement not to exceed $500 per plan for major appliances, mowers, and tractors.

Preventative maintenance coverage includes 50% reimbursement when you purchase select preventative maintenance parts from The Home Depot for your major appliance, mower, or tractor. It does not cover parts purchased for your item’s initial installation/setup. Covered parts include:

  • Water/air filters
  • Aluminum vents
  • Coil brushes
  • Dryer lint brushes
  • Water fresheners
  • Hoses
  • Water lines

Total reimbursements for preventative maintenance parts and cosmetic parts replacement not to exceed $500 per plan for major appliances, mowers, and tractors.

If your plan includes preventative maintenance parts (e.g., refrigerator filter, lawn mower blade, etc.), or cosmetic parts, you can submit a request to be reimbursed for these expenses. Please email a photo of your receipt for the maintenance item, plus the original receipt for the covered item and protection plan to hdpp_reimbursements@squaretrade.com. Once approved you will be reimbursed up to the amount of your plan benefit.

There are two ways to redeem this benefit:

First, you can schedule an appointment with a local repair company. (The company must be authorized by the item's manufacturer.) Schedule your repair directly with the company/technician. Then, submit a request to be reimbursed for the cost of pick-up and delivery. Please email a photo of your receipt for the repair with a line item for pickup and delivery, plus the original receipt for the covered item and protection plan to hdpp_reimbursements@squaretrade.com.

Or, if you would like Allstate to locate an authorized repair company, you can call us at 833-763-0688, or send an email to hdpp_pickup@squaretrade.com. We will contact a local repair company/technician and they will reach out to you to schedule a pickup time for your item. We will pay the repair company/technician upon completion of the job.

Yes! You can protect any eligible item for up to 90 days from the date of purchase with a The Home Depot Protection Plan. Plans are available at any The Home Depot location or online at homedepot.com.

After purchasing your plan, please save the receipt for the covered item and the receipt for the protection plan by clicking here and following the easy instructions, or by texting an image of them to 202202. (If they are on separate receipts, please upload or text both.)
